The high light of the year was a trip taken by Jack Brown, Kenny Oathout, Arthur McReynolds, David Jackson, Wayne McReynolds and Mr. Bosomworth. The group attended the National F. F. A. Convention held in Kansas City Mo. where they observed the organization's Silver Anniversary. They stayed in the home town of the ex- president Harry Truman where they saw his home and Mrs. Truman. Dignitaries at the Convention were President Eisenhower, Ezra Taft Benson, and Oveta Culp Hobby. The group visited Mark Twain Memorials on the return trip. The Chapter held the Parent and Son potluck in October and the Father and Son Banquet in March. The high greeting card salesmen for the year were Eddie Tucker, Tommy Sheehan, and Jim Gaither. The Chapter sent Jerry Ward to the F.F. A. Conservation Camp at Lake Villa and also to the State F.F. A. Band. The Section 19 Parliamentary Procedure Contest was held at Bethany in April. Since the 1953 Annual, Bethany has placed 5th among all the sectional judging teams and Kenny Oathout won the Dairy Production Award. F.F. A. OFFICERS-LEFT TO RIGHT: Pres., K. Oathout; Vice-Pres., D.
