LIBRARIANS: Boys standing are Steve Dick, Lewis Crane, Kenny Keown, Dick Boyer, and Bob Johnson. Checking files are Jennie Hudson and Dolly Bone. Fixing posters on bulletin board is Lillian McReynolds. Seated at desk is librarian sponsor. Miss Lucas. LIBRARIANS The librarians meet every second and fourth Tuesdays in the month. Their duties are checking books, collecting dues, cataloging and filing books, and stamping and arranging magazines and newspapers. The lib- rarians are those students who volunteer to work in the library one of their free periods. The library acquired over one-hundred new books during the year. A twenty-two volume set of Dictionary of American Biography was also pur- chased, which covers the history of American men and women from the beginning of our country to present time. Magazines are now protected by the plastic covers bought this year. Because of the increase in books over the past few years it was necessary to buy an addition to the Card Cata- logue. The library, itself, was newly painted for this school year. The library this year observed Book Week by using posters throughout the school, passing out book marks and having a display in the library, it- self. Another display was of a Vocational nature for the Vocational Guid- ance Clinic held this year.
