But, even Ault couldn ' t have guessed that his young club would post a 5-2 PAC record and 7-2 overall record in 1981. It took a two-point conversion by Thiel College with only one minute left in game four to break Bethany ' s 1 7 game winning streak. After a loss to Carnegie-Mellon University the following week, Bethany came back to win the last four games and finish in second place in the conference. 73 Soccer R. Hines, D. Tomer, T. The Nus have boosted their grade point average to be one of the best on campus this year. The house is also planning a complete renovation project to prepare for its 100th year anniversary. Through the year, the Nus have shown pride in their respected sports. Doug Bailey, co-captain, led the Bi- son football team to an impressive season along with teammates Doug Shaw, Mike LeDonne, Mike Cindric, Bob Abbiatici, and of course coaches Pri and Ray. Soccer player Jeff Flick saw his team reach the finals in the NCAA district finals, ending a fine four-year career for him. Then came the EN Decent Exposure where long coats were the main attire. Bowery Brawl 1981 was definitely a sight to see. In January many seniors fulfilled their four-year long dream of passing comps. Congratulations Fran, Jamie, Marty, Phil, Eric (Space), Mark (Moon), Flick, and Rossmo. Then came second semester. The Nus took 22 pledges which will strengthen the house for at least another year. Baseball season finally came and captain Ken Gon- golai along with Tony Bisutti helped the Bisons to a fine 1982 season. Marty Maag and Mark Swiger returned to the Bethany track team as record holders and to a fine senior year. Many things happened throughout the year. Fran found his future in a girl named Carol. Marty, the mara- thon man, started track season in the first semester and finally met his match. ' O ' the bookie kept some lucky people in the money while Little Abby, Scott and Buck- ethead made a road trip to Illinois to visit their SAE friends. 1981-1982 was a good year for President Poca. He accomplished many things that people thought were impossible. Sigma Nu in ' 82 with 22 seens to be a very good year. Good luck to all the new Sigs. 133 Ill S Adams. B. Almasy, C.
