Winter takes over as the air starts to get cold. Winter coats and down vests become the fashion on cam|ius. People begin to cram for those extra points needed to pass a course and finish papers due in two weeks before. Thanksgiving and Christmas bring an extra special treat of good food. The Alpha Sigs celebrate their Founder ' s Day with a special ceremony. Santa Claus begins to appear and the snow starts to fall. Dates are being sought for Xmas formals. Gowns and suits are finally brought out of the closet. The Fresh- men decorate Renner Too for the first Freshmen Formal to be held there. The Sigma Nu ' s let their beards grow and make a stop at the Salvation Army for Bowery Brawl clothes. Pixie Parties and gifts of friendship end the semester. januar brings snow and more snow. Students come back to pick up extra courses and Seniors take comps. Registration begins for the second semester on a Sunday and classes begin all over again. Bid Da is upon the Freshmen and demands a decision which will affect the course of the next three years. A snow carnival prevails with sled rides down the Cresham House hill, tug of war and statues for George Washington ' s birthda . Pledg- ing begins. The weather warms up a little and Spring Break finalK comes!

Spring hits Bethany with a spurge of playing tennis, throwing frisbees and studying in the sun. Shorts and T-shirts are worn with a flair. Sororities and fraternities hold the spring weekends. The KA ' s march to Phillips to invite the belles to the Dixie Ball. Honors Day recognizes dedicated stu- dents; May Morning Breakfast toasts the Senior women, Parent ' s Weekend and Spring Weekend emphasizes good times. And don ' t forget the Perry Gresham Day parade. Commencement causes conflicting feelings of I ' m finally getting out of here. and Boy, am I gomg to miss this place. It is the time of relief and satisfaction, apprehension of the future and the sad recogni- tion that this is the last day of being a student at Bethany.
