Soccer Ties for Second Patricio Aguirre tries to escape with the ball as two opponents run towards him. Brad Townsend fakes a large step as he prepares to kick to a team mate. For the first time in five years, the Bethany soccer team did not capture the PAC crown. The Bisons tied with Hiram for second place with a 4-1-1 conference record. Overall they were 4-4-1. The team hod a perfect record in the PAC until they dropped 2-1 to Allegheny. It was only the second loss to a PAC team in five years for the Bisons. Two close losses followed against W.Va. Wesleyan and Alderson-Broaddus. The A-B game was marred by a controversial call. There was question as to whether the ball hit the outside of the net and bounced out of play or went into the cage and rolled through a hole in the net. A 0-0 stand-off with Hiram ended the Bison ' s five year PAC reign. Keith Cowin dribbles past a PAC adversary en route to the goal. 30
