Phil Pest leads Tommy Miller through the defense for a successful run. Bisons GO 5-4 The 1975 Bison football season was capped by the winning of the PAC championship. Bethany was 4-1 in the PAC and 5-4 overall before the deciding game against Washington and Jefferson. Going into the Homecoming game, Bethany was 1-3, with the one victory over Case-Western Reserve. The Homecoming match against Thiel wasn ' t decided until the last 10 seconds. The Bisons scored 10 points in the final 87 seconds to win 10-7. A 26 yard field goo! by Bob Williams with under 10 seconds left to ploy, clenched the victory. Two wins against Carnegie-Mellon and Hiram followed giving the Bisons top spot in the conference. Going into the final game, both Bethany and W J were 4-1 and tied for first place. The Bisons overcame the W J home field advantage and scored in less than five minutes into the game. They never trailed again as they went on their way to win the school ' s first football crown since 1966. Tough defense and a superb running gome put the Bisons on top. In addition to winning the PAC championship, Bethany put three members on the All-Conference line-up — Bob Williams, Mike Bilica and Carl Clemens.
