rx' fs . -1 . w '- it ' Biology students dissect frogs first gingerly but soon with enthusiasm. SCIENCE The science department of Bethany is designed to give every student a basic knowledge of the sciences and to relate this to the world around him. Biology, a basic course, tells of all living things and how the process of life goes on. This course is a required course and is usually taken in the freshman year. Chemistry is a course that tells of the make-up of all living things, and describes the chemical pro- cesses of life. The laws of nature are explained in physics and are related to our modern everyday life. Physics ex- plains how we do what, and why it is possible for us to do it. Physical science is a basic science course and touches lightly on all three courses. In addition to the science courses there is also a science club where interested students get together to see films, hear speakers, and take field trips.
