Bethany is still the eager, lively student body which it was last year, even though there are many new students, added faculty, and new rooms, We as students are inspired daily by chapel talks and class periods. We are not only receiving the essential things which we need in our natural life, but more important, we are enjoying sweet communion and fellowship with God which help us in our Spiritual Life, As we leave this school we want to ever be of service to God through our fellowmen. Will you remember Bethany in your prayers? As we present this yearbook to you we hope you will enjoy it as much as we cnioy giving it to you, May many happy memories come to those who leaf through the pages of this book. 2 Of the many s1gn1f1cant and tmportant happenmgs m every hfe there are two that stand far above the others One IS the fact of phystcal btrth the other the Joy of a sptrttual reblrth ID Chrxst Jesus To Menno Sxmons both of these great events took place tn a httle Fr1s1an vxllage called Wttmarsum located a few mtles xnland from the North Sea coast Wltmarsum therefore IS the blrthplace of Mennomtlsm Bethany Chrlsttan Htgh School fotmded and operated by the Mennon1te Church can look back xnto hlstory w1th thanksglvmg and see at Wttmarsum the mercy of God tn leadlng a seekmg soul to H1m Wxtmarsum should present to us the power of d1v1ne grace the deterrmnatxon to follow the leadtng of Gods Sp1r1t the challenge to more holy and consecrated hvxng, Yes xt began at Wltmarsum Let tt contmue today 3 U ' Q 1 , . 0 u - u 0 I . , . . v . . . V V, may il Q ff Y, xwttf Q NN 4 ls it worth all the cost and effort?N This was the question in the hearts of many as they thought about Bethany Christian High School. Perhaps the answer cannot be fully stated this year nor in the years ahead. In the following pages of the Witmarsum you will in a rrnasure be able to receive a partial answer to the above question. At the best, pictures and words fail to portray exactly what has happened in the life of the student body. Sac- rifices have been made, prayers offered and answered, lives changed and trans- formed by Gods' grace. But all of this leaves us without the complete answer. The question ls it worth it ? will in eternity be answered by lives which have been lived for Christ. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is is Heaven. 37 'Q 6 AMOS O HOSTETLER Pre slde nt ANNAS MILLER Goshen Vice President HAROLD S BENDER 7 Goshen Secretary H .
