The songs they sing are mostly sacred music. During the Christmas season the chorus contributed live programs at local churches including a program at the school. More Easter programs are planned including a short tour. The entire chorus endeavors to enter the state contest. XVith these programs in view they happily work together to attain a better degree of perfection to promote the cause of Christ. Crusaders The Crusaders have very faithfully donated their part for the pro- grams. XVith a membership of twenty-two they have worked together re- sponsively. The songs they sing have been hymns and anthems. As the school grows and prospers we hope to see this chorus develop consecutively. SASH AND DOOR CO. Christian fellowship is enjoyed while teamwork is learned under Christian supervision and in a Christian environment. At the beginning of the '54-'55 school year intramural softball was played. The high light ol the softball season was a class tournament which was won by the Seniors who edged out the Freshman team in the first game and later over- whelmed the Sophomores who had eliminated the juniors. As the school year advancedtbasketball became the major sport. From the large group of boys who participated in basketball, two teams were chosen by the coach and supervisor, Mr. Steiner. These teams, known as Bethany I and II, were entered in the C section of the Church League. Bethany I moved up into the B League at Goshen College, where they participated in a double elimination tournament. This ended the regular scheduled season for the var- sity. Games with church teams were scheduled to finish out the basketball season. At the end of the regular season of play a double elimination class tourna- ment was held. Each class was represented and enjoyed Christian fellowship with the members of the other classes. The Seniors repeated their softball per- formance in the basketball tournament by upending each class team as they won the championship. The building is constructed mainly of cinder block and large wooden beams, the gymnasium is of natural finish wood, ready-shaped beams, and brick. The ricultural Building, which also houses the cafeteria, is a remodeled wel1-con- structed barn which already was situated on the eight-acre plot of land. School opened on September 5. The building was not quite complete, but us- able nevertheless. An afternoon was taken to clean the building and grounds in preparation for open house. Dedication ol the building took place on October 3.
