Mrs Glass and Kindergarten group HEBREW DAY The Hebrew Day Nursery was founded in l96O to serve the needs of the Bronx community. The school is under the supervision of the Board of Health and the Day Care Health Center. Our school is set apart from most primary schools. Here we provide an atmosphere filled not only with our wonderful Hebrew heritage and culture, but one entwined with the progressive system designed to meet the needs of each child as an individual. Our children are taught to express themselves through the media of paint, clay, blocks, and other constructive materials. An appreciation for books and music is instilled in their young minds through daily exposure to songs, poems, stories, and re- cordings. Our rhythm bandaffords each child an opportunity to use simple tone instruments. Activ- ities out -of-doors expose the children to large out- door equipment which foster good physical and motor development. Nature study and educational trips are integral parts of our program.
