His shoulders were broad, his head held high, With a friendly smile for all who passed byg His heart was so big, made of pure gold, I His friends were so many, so I am told. C 1 I x fl Il He knew not selfishness nor hatred nor greed, Love thy neighbor was his only creed, Perhaps one would label him color blind Since in color of skin no difference did he find. X He hated violence-, killing, and war, Peace and tranquility were what he longed for' A life under G-d, with the Torah as a guide, To act as a jew was his greatest pride. l My grandfather is no longer here, But his memory will live on for many a year In the hearts of his family and in my mind, Another like him I'll never find.
