Class Prayer Class Poem By BETTY NEWMAN Our Heavenly Father, we thank Thee for Thy goodness and for Thy great love. We thank Thee for the privilege of going to school and for the other opportunities that have been ours. Our Heavenly Father, how we pray that as leaders of our community, state, and nation that our lives may be guided by Thy hand. Grant us the grace to know Thy laws and to live in accordance with them. By DOROTHY HUGHES Our class has come to the end of the trail With joy and hope in every heart. We'll bravely face what-e'er prevails As long as friendship is ne'er torn apart. We've traveled paths hard to endure Stumbling sometimes, struggling on. Seeing ahead our lives secure Because of school and the goals we've known Our teachers, friends will all agree That faith has been our one assurance, For now we in the future see Success in life because of endurance. We face the future and what it holds With hearts brim full of memories true. We'll treasure our friends like coins of gold As we travel into horizons blue. School Song Hail Bessemer High School We life our hearts to thee. And may we always be loyal to thee Though years may come and go. Our hearts will ever flow With pride and loyalty High School so dear. Class Motto Reach high, aim higher. Class Flower Pink and White Carnation Class Colors Pink and White
