Class Prophecy By Rochelle Graham and Ronald Smith Ronald and I have the pleasure of planning a reunion for the Bessemer High Class of 1957. After searching through old newspapers, annuals, and old address books, we have finally completed the guest list which is as follows: Phillip Bunting, who is a well known scientist, is now conducting studies at Harvard on Which came first, the chicken or the egg. Rose Marie Carruthers is the head of a big fashion designing store in New York. Her latest creation is a polka-dotted, burlap night gown. Edward Loyd now pipes gasoline directly from Egypt to his chain of Texaco stations. Janice Ward is now working in the Bessemer Cafeteria and is raising little Cooks. After five long years in the Navy, Jerry Leonard has finally received the rank of Seaman Second Class, Garbage Grinder. Beth Sellers has finally acquired fame and fortune by playing the violin in Spike Jones' Orchestra. Harold Grubb now owns the Plaza and has errstalled c. pool room in the back. Vida Sparrow has now become a famous bubble dancer in the greater New York night clubs. Larry Huffling is now a famous criminal lawyer for the F. B. I. His most profitable case is Peggie Pruitt versus her seven husbands. Brock Bailey is still working at Belk's Department Store putting toys together and dressing dolls. Pat Sykes is making millions as the Fat Lady of the circus. David Key is now designing bikini bathing suits for French Poodles. Autographed pictures of Elvis Presley are being sold at Wool worth's by Valeria Morgan, an ardent fan. Kenneth Campbell is now reprocessing the dye in Buffalo Creek. Dot Hughes is now teaching Francis, the talking mule, to speak Latin. The Greensboro Zoo now has a new manager, Joe Menagerie Small. Rochelle Graham finally gave up on her diets and is now designing corsetts. Dawson Strider, who was voted Most Studious, is now studying rocks at the State Pen. Barbara Hyatt is now composing songs for the Grand Ole Opry. Move over Yogi, here comes Bessemer's one and only Donald Causey! Carol Lineberry is now Chief cook and bottlewasher for her husband and fourteen kids. Jerry Blake has fulfil led his childhood ambition of playing with the P. A. system, for now he is principal of dear old B. H.S. Linda Hunt is now a main figure on the Bob Cummings show. She has taken the position as the secretary. Jackie Weaver, who was voted Most Attractive, is now teaching a beauty course for men. Janice Roach is now the owner of an exterminating company. Larry Moore, who always like racing, is now designing eight-barrel I carburetors for Brigg-Stratton lawnmower engines. Nell Rae Love is now the top Hollywood gossip columnist. Her favorite subjects are delapidated boyfriends. Harley Coins now has his own model agency, and his big money maker is the famous Legs DeLancey. Ronald Burton has mastered the art of selling used cars to people who don't want them and finally has his back yard clean. Faye and Kaye Maness are now the producers of the quiz show Double or Nothing. Weldon Laughlin is now head of the Cadillac division of General Motors. Being a telephone operator, Louise Money burns up the line supplying N. R. L. with the latest gossip. Ronald Smith now lives at Myrtle Beach and still hears the echoing voice of someone saying, Ronald Boy. Betty Newman, who always wanted to be a secretary, now occupies the lap of John A. Bessemer's famous comedian, Milton Beal, is now writing jokes for Dragnet. Rosina Flynn now lives in a small house, drives a small car, and is raising small children. Tommy El I is now owns a cow farm in Alamance and is raising I ittle Moos. Anne Cooke now has her own bequty salon. Her favorite hair style is the pony tail. After taking a certain subject for three years in High School, Frank Cook is now a professor Biology at W. C. Diane Graham is now a service station attendant at Graham's Grocery. Since Pop resigned, Benny Taylor has taken over as head of the Past Time Smoke Shop. His assistant and head rack boy is Clyde Parr. Mabel is living up to her superlative by buying three county rest homes. Bobby Stone now has a hamburger stand selling tea and hamburgers for 45$. After taking two years of French, Lucinda Bateman is teaching English in French Public Schools. Joe Myers, owner and manager of Gillespie Golf Park, is making millions teaching old ladies how to play golf. Shirley Cleary and R. J. are happily married and are raising seven cheerleaders, all blond, and eleven football players. Wayne Rayle is making quite a hit with his television program The Life of Riley. After taking the Atlas Body Building Course, Albert Sutton now has the title of Mr. America. One of the feature attractions of Texas Wrestling is Jean Lancaster and her famous Bungo Punch. Jerry Shoe is now working at Disneyland portraying Daniel Boone. After many years of driving a school bus, Lawrence O'Ferrell is now the head mechanic at the County Garage. Now that the guest list is complete, we have the task of mailing the invitations to our upstanding classmates.
