There are reference and sup- plementary reading books for all subjects taught. In addition to books the library has two informa- tion files. One contains general information and the other consists entirely of material on vocations. The library is open to all during the school hours. It seats fifty students.

1 3? fd 1282 Seniors learning the principles of the electrolysis of water Young people are naturally curious about their environment. Science is the great adventure of modern times and the three courses which help in this exploration are: biology, physics, and chemistry. Through the study of these courses each student is better able to understand the world around him. Because of the great demand, the science program has been changed to accommodate the junior and senior chemistry classes. Most of the senior high school mathematics courses are electives designed to give students specialized training for use in college or in their chosen fields of work. These courses include algebra, plane and solid geometry, and trigonom- etry, All students enrolled in the vocational industrial course are required to take vocational mathematics which teaches the practical application of the problems of industry. To teach the discharge of the duties of citizenship, the social science depart- ment has been set up. lts cultural back- ground is used in developing the stu- dent's idealism and devotion to his coun- try. So that each one will be able to perform his duties as a citizen efficient- ly, all high school students are required to take social science courses. The Medieval and Modern History course is one required to be taken by all sophomores. During the junior year stu- dents receive a course in American His- tory.
