Aside from their annual spring concert the girls have had numerous outside engagements. The group sang at the dawn Thanksgiving services and at the annual community Christmas carol sing. The club was present at the A.C.F. during the ceremonies held in honor of the A.C.F. safety record award. The Christ- mas program presented at the high school was also given for the Grange Con- vention. This program included many negro spirituals and was highlighted by the popular classic. A' 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. The chorus also appeared before a convention of Columbia County Nlasons. The spring concert featured the current South Pacific favorites in addition to many other outstanding songs. 58 V -P 'y' 1-.iv A. ya' l '1'iK' f 1 Iliff I' 'V' -I lil i ,su I-f , 511-45 i--.-. 4 'N-'Z' PIA H . +1 1 f rl 1 ,wx il- ' ' J Christmas Prog in J' CAST OF THE PLAY Vg f MERRY CHRISTMAS IN THE OLD Hoafkff' Seated lean Dockey fV1let Paynel Marllyn Muller fhlamgq tide I Shlrley Hoslfr I fLulu Brodyl Ioan Marxe Shook lFann1e Newmanj Nancy W t 1Bet y odyyl rry J Bowman flrloward Ormesl Standmq Mlss Moody coach Ned Dodson fl'lalmar Brodyl Frances l3ldOJSk1 fMrs Iohnsonl Rlchard Alley fMr Iohnsonj Bernard Noss QW1llaam Hallj Georqb Petr1Sh1n, 1l'lugh Whltel Catherme Bredbenner fMaude1 CHRISTMAS PROGRAM Chazrman Mac Moyer Actmg Presldent of the Class of 53 PART I Organ Chrzstmas Melodzes Na cy,Uj1qes 52 Chrzstmas Echoes jBra Chol Fred Fuller 52 Robert Pettit 51 ames Muehlhof 53 Drue Heckman 52 Clarence Treqo 51 Deuotzons lack Vodqht 55 Responslve Readlnq by Student Body Chrzstmas Songs Glrs Glee lub Processxonal U Come All Ye Falthful Behold esus Had a Mother Llke Mme Twas the Nlght Before Chrlstmas Recesslonal Sllent Nlght Accompamst Ethel Lutz 51 Chrzstmas Story The Blrthday of the Kmq Reader Iudxth Peters Carols Student Body Solo A Kxng Was Born Conme Serlff 53 PART II One Act Christmas Comedy Sophomore Cast Merry Christmas ln the Old Home Town 59 'A .fr .Jr V, Nav +44 , ' I 'P I 1' S v K V , 'N T- L X I Ia - . .' One Foot In Heaven was presented by the Dramatic Club, February 23, 1951. It featured the use of the school organ and the band chimes. The cast of eighteen was composed of seniors and juniors. The story concerns the family of Reverend William Spence. The family moves to a new parsonage where each one gets mixed up in some sort of trouble. Hartzell gives away all the familys money, Eileen flunks English, and Father has a fight with the wealthy parishoners. The story is told in narrative form by Reverend Fraser Spence.
