£ciAi and 0d dxJirruzni As It has been the custom of the Senior Class of Berryville High School, to provide for a last will and testament, in order that persons present may know of our bequests, we the members of the Senior Class of 1946, being of sound mind, do hereby bequeath, will, bestow, and leave our talents, abilities and achievements to those mentioned below, having been approved by the members of the Senior Class. Maxine McCarty leaves her flirting ability to Evelyn Longerbeam, Eunice Chapman leaves to Vernon Wilson her ability to study. Hope you take advantage of it. Anne Langbein bequeaths her good grades in math to Dean Levi. Vera Shiflett leaves her ability to get things done to Anne Rhodes. Hope it helps, Anne. Thelma Foltz leaves her typing skill to Dickie Fuller. Make good use of it, Dickie. To next year ' s Beacon Staff Helen Royston leaves all unused editorials, worn-out Chapel notices, and circulation worries. Bonnie Royston leaves her dark hair to Mary Ann McAtee. How would you like that change? To Charlotte Ann Levi, Christine Jones leaves her ability to skate. Helen Jenkins leaves all her worries as picture Editor to next year ' s fortunate (?) member of the Spotlight Staff. To Trip Hardesty, Philip Kline wills the responsible post of being flag raiser each day. Bill Smallwood, bequeaths his quietness to Patsy Pitta. Comes in handy sometimes, Patsy. Wanless Smallwood leaves his ability to hold his temper to Betty Sue Enders. No more book- throwing, eh, Betty Sue? Bay Levi leaves his ability to get the girls to Bill Hooker. Good Luck, Bill if you really need it. To next year ' s Senior Class President, Harry Jones leaves all unfinished business and unsettled arguments of the class of 1946. Frankie Sowers leaves his place on the football teat, to Buddy Locke. That ' s something to live up to. Buddy. Herman Lloyd leaves to next year ' s S. C. A. President, his little black notebook and all the plans the Council were unable to carry out. William Bodenschatz leaves to Bobby Crosen his formula for mixing an argument with everything that comes up. Ivan White leaves to Vaughn Boyd his ability to act, both on and off the stage. Allen Pierson leaves his slowness to Red Stough. Use a teaspoonful now and then in talking. Red. Francis Wilson bequeaths his ability to drive a car to Elaine Scheuer. acm DAYS AT B. H. S. ' Alien we entered High School four years ago, We found how much there was to know. Our friends are the teachers, loyal and true. Now the time for parting makes us feel blue. As Freshmen we found our land at war. When things grew worse we did our share. By gathering paper, clothing, and tin Till we knew Uncle Sam would surely win. As Sophomore and Junior years rolled along V e held bond rallies and sang victory songs Our schoolmates answered our country’s call, Served in distant parts--gave their all. Returning as Seniors with the great war o’er, ' We found our days filled more and more, The last bond drive, the annual, the play — We shall never forget the joys of each day. But not in the crisis of war alone Do our country’s problems become our own; t home or abroad, where’er the test, There is much to challenge our very best. As we leave B.H.S and go out on our own.
