It seems ap- propriate that Ron was elected Most Likely to Succeed by his classmates. Girls ' State Patti Powell was the representative at Girls ' State where she was elected State Senator. A very active member of the student body, Patti is in- volved in many clubs and activities. Some of her activities include the following: Anchor Club, Juniorettes, Honor Society, Serteen Club, and Buccanettes. For all of nny actions I pay a toll. Whether the cost be large or be small, I havecommandof it all. The things that happen from day to day, how to control them, I have the way. Whether I receive love or hate, I am the master of my fate. Going to college, the job that I get, i must guide them without a regret. Whether I succeed or fail, I direct the things that prevail. Getting what I want and need, I can decide it, that is agreed. I have the power to reach my goal. I am the captain of my soul. Chad Dorn Homeroom 1104 Carousels All our lives are like carousels spinning round and round, taking us far, but going nowhere. The gallant white horse we are astride is our love and caring for one another. How it treats us depends on how tightly we hold the reins. The movements of our steed, the gentle ups and downs, are the peaks and pitfalls of our lives, whereas the music playing in the background is the little things — the nice things that happen every so often. That music always seems to be there to help us through our pitfalls. Time flies when you ' re having fun, though, and only too soon the time on your ticket runs out; the ride is now over. You are forced to get off the carousel and forfeit the control of your thoroughbred ' s reins. Another is to quickly take your place — younger than you by that one ride. He will handle his new breed, feel the power in his hands, and begin his journey of a few minutes — into eternity.
