COMMENCEMENT . . . With commencement, we experience an end of an era that for some, was a heaven, for some, a hell, and for most, a place somewhere in between. Throughout our four years of high school life, we have, together, as a class, struggled along, crossing each bridge as we reached it. Now, together, we have reached the end. Yet, with commencement, we experience a beginning. The beginning of a world of our own. No longer will we be a part of a class; a group whose members protect one another as a swarm of bees protects its queen. Each student must now strive on his own accord to attain his individual success. So, as we say farewell at this end, let us go back and briefly review the final year of our high school career, as it actually happened. And, as we set out upon the path to the beginning, let us say good-bye to our school building, and hello to the unknown, ominous world around us. Be ever mindful that this earth offers a place for every individual. Reach out — grasp for — attain YOUR place.
