Any minute the beauticians, Elnor Schimdt and Shirley Dinges , will arrive. Craig Caulpetzer , the iamous architect, designed this building where my salon is located. Some oi our colleagues are making the service a career. Phil Stroud and lm-rv Davis are in the hlarinusg and Lyle Bachman, Dale Gerlach, and Don Watkins are in the Army. Joyce Lolmaugh, 'Pair Juliet , is still playing the tield while Joan Pudell has become Mrs. Donald Shemharger A , and Ellen Zielke has become Mrs. Melvin Machamer. l guess by now they are adiusted to married liie. oi course, 1lCe you know that l'm Mrs. Caniield, don't you? Joyce Shirley parker is the emcee on the program Advice to the Lovelorn' on station l C U. Did you read Bon Bow- ley's latest novel entitled THE GlRL l LEFT BElllND. lt's already on the best-seller list. The science-iiction enthusiasts are wild over Arden Jones's book called CATS lrl SPACE. David Krieger is still turning out volumes his poetry. Guess what? Betty Tucker the redhead who always acted in the high school plays is now on Broadwayg and Ter- ,' Zerby, the riotous comedian, is her co-Star. Donna Bruce wrote the musical score, and Wayne Dahring was horeographer tor the play. lt's really causing a riot in New Y orkl Did you know that Larry Barinka pitched a no-hit game tor the New York Yankees? Be's their star pitcher. Dick Shafer is a quarterback tor the Detroit Lions . Our alma mater ,Berrien lligh, is still winning iootball trophies with Jack Ewalt as their coach. Gordon Lohraii operates a hunting lodge up north, he gets all his sporting equip- ment irom Jim Scoiield's store in Niles. l went to the stock car races, and lo and behold, two oi our classmates Pat Love and Jack Henderson were driving cars. Wayne Shoop writes a sports column tor the Chicago Tribune. S0 it looks like he's kept busy lust writing about the boys in our class . l went to a party that the '5oCiety Queen' Arlene Kettelhut was throwing. She's still the center oi attraction. Barb Utrup was there, oh, l should say Miss Michigang and she looks like she has a good chance in the Miss Amer- ica contest. Janet Letcher, Linda Kruger, and Pearl Sanders have gone into the clerical field. They all work for the famous lawyer Neil McMillen. The South Bend Memorial l-lospital iust received two nurses from our class, Eleanor Barnhart and Marilyn Miller. Shirley Speckem and Sandy Brigham, the social weliare workers, are doing a good iob with the slums in Chicago. I The retmown surgeon, l-lunter Watson, dropped by the oiiice the other day. lt certainly was good to see him. Ialnda Kru ay Kettlehut is a psychiatrist in San Francisco. ger Dee Stover is ambassador to France. l read where she would like to be ambassador to Bussia. This really would be an adventure tor her . You know that Paul Pollard is Senator irom Michigan, don't you? ln my opinion, Michigan is well represented. Some oi the class still lives around Berrien Springs . Esther Ostrom is the English teacher, Charlotte Med- ley teaches government, and Barbara Maddux is the physical education teacher. Bob l-'lippo has really reformed --he is truant oiiicerl Remember how he used to 'visit' school occasionally? That's quite a change, itn't it'I Bruce and Burl Boyer are the co-owners oi a super market outside oi Berrien. lt's really thriving. Bill Bal- com owns a gas station, much to my surprise. l was sure he was going to make a career ol the Navy. lienn Mc- Neely is following his iather's iootsteps in becoming an insurance agent.. Wayne Bauer is the town's dentist. l hope he's not too rough on the people. By the way, ii you ever want your television repaired just call on Lynn Barrington. lie operates a repair shop in Buchanan. l guess he really chose a good occupation het-Iause it looks like TV is taking over Bollywood.
