Mr, Nothstine was graduated from Mancelona High School where he participated in football, basketball, baseball, and track. He then entered Central Michigan College where he partici- pated in varsity football and baseball. After being graduated, he taught at Grand Blanc and Caledonia. Mr. Nothstine came to Berrien Springs in 1942. He coached basketball and base- ball, in 1944 he started coaching football and in 1945 track. He taught shop, driver training, and mechanical drawing. Forward With a summer filled with pleasures and disappointments, behind them, the students of Berrien Springs High School entered an eventful 1954-1955 school year, Many new names appeared in the class rolls and faculty list. New equipment was put to good use during the school year, especially the lockers in the first floor hall of the high school. A new ceiling in the gymnas- ium and band room aided both performers and audience. A public address sys- tem was installed during the summer vacation, it saved many footsteps for students and faculty. A review of the events which brought excitement, downfalls, and honors are found in each division of the book. Numerous school plays and extra-curricular activities are found in their respective divisions. Good reading to all who scan this book. Bonnie Brown Editor
