The class officers for the first semester were: Douglas Burgess as President, Jesse Bright, Vice-president, Janet Bixby Secretary, Gary Moore Treasurer, Janet Marquardt, Reporter and Bob Zavec, Jane Sill and Albert Forbes as Student Council Representatives. Mr. Donald Ashdown and Mr. Faye Chance are the FRESHMAN class sponsors. The Freshman boys had a paper, scrap iron and steel drive, on which they made $50. The Freshman girls had a bake sale from which $18 was realized. The FRESHMAN class took dancing lessons Tuesday evenings bimonthh for three months from Mr. and Mrs. Guy Barnhart. They gave a free dance Tuesday evening February 10 in the school gym. The Room mothers and a few other mothers made pies for refreshments. Several parents of the students were present. 17
