aydiamoze 66444 Being known as the distinguished sophomores of MSO we had a completely new outlook on life. W'e elected our officers for the first semester. We gave the important position of pres' ident to Eugene Enders. Sheila Gerard was our choice for vice president. We chose Loraine Hildebrand to record the minutes, and left Dick Tropp to contend with all of the financial rnatters. Beverly Brant was our reporter, and Don Crawford was chosen to represent our class as the student council representative. We certainly owe a great deal of our success to our class sponsors, Mr. Nothstine and Miss Alice Swenson. Qur first party was at Central Docks where everyone improved his skating technique. We contributed a large sum of money to the P.T.A. from the profit which our class made during the annual P.T.A. carnival. In November we sponssorecl a Sadie Hawkins' Dance with a floor show which illuss trated the origin of Sadie Hawkins day. lt was enjoyed by all who attended. As for taking part in school activities fhaving a class enrollment of seventyl we certainly top the list' Four sophomore girls are members of the cheerleading squad We have three baton maiorettes who can really sparkle in any game Many are also rnemb rs of the band and glee club We certainly have good material for the coming years in bas ketball track football and baseball After having adiusted ourselves to school regulations again after the Christmas va cation we elected the following as officers for th second semester Don Crawford presi dent Ted Oliver vice president Loraine Hildebrand secretary Carol Barefield treasurer Q C1 Pgrnl Straight reporter ln February we ordered our class rings and everyone anxiously awaited their arrival 4' C-3 E Enders Mxss Swenson D Crawford Mr Nothstme 22 , ' ' . e f 1 , - ' .
