On October 17. 1979, 33 members of the Psychology class, one member of the health class, Mrs. Sides, and Mrs. Russell, loaded on a bus at 6:00 a.m. and headed for Farmington State Hospital. They were met by the Public Relations Director as soon as they arrived. They were given a tour through many of the buildings and were shown many ways mentally ill people are tested and treated. Due to a rain shower, members of the tour got slightly wet. Despite the messy weather, most of the group enjoyed the trip. Many felt that the hospital was very different from what they ex- pected. They returned home late Tuesday afternoon, all ex- tremely tired after an exciting day. FFA - FHA Enjoy Picnic And Hayride The FFA and FHA held their annual picnic on October 20 in the Bernie City Park. Games were played by the members, with the winner of each game receiving a small cash prize. Following the picnic a hayride and weiner roast were held.
