Tke Coiimi BcM 1974-75 Published By: Publications Class Sponsor: Mrs. Bowen It is with great pleasure that we. the 1975 Cotton Boll staff, dedicate this book to two outstanding teachers who will bea continuing inspiration to us throughout our life. For the graduating class of 1975: Publications A true friend unbosoms freely, advises justly, assists readily, adventures boldly, takes all patiently, defends courageously, and continues a friend unchangeably. William Penn 2 Ifo Chm 4 75 Colors: Pink and Black Flower: Cymbidium Orchid Motto: Forward Ever, Backward Never Song: ''Where the Roads Come Together A welcome touch of Latin spice was added to Bernie High this year by Ignacio Zuloago. Ignacio came from Mexico to spend a year in Bernie. We hope that he has enjoyed learning our 'strange' language and customs as much as we have enjoyed having him as a part of B.H.S. The first days of a new school year mean a lot of things to a lot of people. To the Freshmen it means excitement and bewilderment as they become involved in the hectic ways of high school life. To the Sophomores it means confidence as they begin to settle down and get involved in clubs and activities. To the Juniors it means getting your class rings, working on the Prom, and being an upper- classman. To the Seniors it's the beginning of the end, as they spend their last and probably their best year at BHS. To the teachers it means crowded halls, tests to grade, and anxiety over that one person who just won't try. To the Cotton Boll staff of 1975, it means a lot of hard work, time, energy, and enjoyment. We hope we can pass part of that enjoyment to you as you look over the Cotton Boll 1975. Whitehead, N. Williams, R. Williamson, R. Kiitd iganlen K. Brown The ending of a school year means a lot of things to a lot of people. To the Freshmen it means the end of one year of hard work and fun and the beginning of three more. To the Sophomores it means the end of being an underclassman and the anticipation of class rings and the To the Juniors it means the end of required courses and the beginning of thier last and very special year. To the Seniors it means the end of a way of life, some very special friendships and to their childhood. But it is the beginning of their future and a new way of life. And we hope that they'll always be able to carry with them the memories of getting the ugh” stick and Pep Rallies, dances, ballgames, the Junior and Senior plays electing queens by penny votes , and the saddest thing of all, graduation night. To the Cotton Boll Staff it means the end of meeting deadlines, gathering information, and waiting for pic- tures to come in. It also means the end of a lot of fun for all of us, and we hope this Cotton Boll will serve you as a reminder of some of the best days of your life-your high school days. For the Cotton Boll Staff of 1975: Rocky D. Hardin Editor
