tutquet cutd 'PxotK Taking time out for a chat with the Jr. advisers, H. Garner, and L. Ellinghouse, are Mable Walker and date, Jay Shipman; Miss Caldwell, Pat Patterson, Jr. president; and date, Janie Pyle. The speakers' table at the Banquet seated the B. M. O. C.’s (big men on campus). Left to right are John McNece, Supt. H. L. Jackson; Billy Patterson, Jr. Class President; M. C. Williams, toastmaster; Don Lee, Sr. Class President; Floy Nichols, School Board President; Mrs. Floy Nichols, and Lloyd El- linghouse, Jr. adviser. Harold Kinder and Charles Mallory are look- ing this way. Mrs. Teeters must have been whispering something shocking to her husband--if we are to judge the expression on our Princi- pal’s face correctly. Other couples are Joy- ce Pippins and Maxine Becking; Jay Ship- man and Mable Walker. Various couples enjoying themselves are Don Lee, Evelyn Daniels; John and Mary Fears; Janis Cooper and Bert Morris; Shelby Cooper and Joyce Whitener --Seated is Floy Nichols, School Board President. All smiles are Joyce Whitener and John Mc- Nece. Joyce was wearing a lovely orchid formal. In the background are Jim Young and Mrs. Pahopin; Joyce Pippins and Max- ine Becking. flcation,-Seaton, Floy Nichols, School Board President, deliv- ering his speech of welcome. Everyone seems to be enjoying the food. Pat Clayton, giftorian, having a hilarious time presenting the gifts to the departing Seniors--Louis Crow and Neal Faith are e- lated, too. Itseems the school board, the faculty members, and their wives, also seem to be enjoying the food. Our hats off to the mothers who prepared the banquet food and, of course, had all the dish- es to wash afterwards. Some of the mothers are Mesdames Carl Cooper, Ruben White, Mack Williams. Others are unidentified. THIS PAGE SPONSORED BY POUNDERS’ INSURANCE AGENCY, WOOD TAYLOR GIN, and BOWMAN’S FURNITURE STORE. 28

Surrounded by admirers, we find that popular Helen Ruth Thurston. Others are Jim Young, Principal Teeters, Johnny Johnson, Glen Blay- lock, and Jimmie McGowan. It must have been a funny --but Miss Caldwell isn't laughin! Mrs. Gilkeson, Prin. Teeters, Miss Caldwell, Cheryl Teeters, Mrs. Jackson, and Mrs. Teeters. This lovely romance resulted in an engagement while on the Senior Trip through the South. Billie Heigle and Glen Blaylock. Why the solemn atmosphere on such a joyous occasion as Baccalaureate Nite?
