She has served the school long and well with a devotion unmatched by any. Her tireless work has helped to make the school what it is today and she has earned an unforgettable position in the hearts and minds of grateful students and teachers . Although she is one of the most outstanding figures on campus, she works unnoticed each day. We have decided that her efforts deserve recognition and honoring. We give our thanks to her for her capable performance of her job. DEDICATIO ,ax 1976 Mrs . The school is a department of the Berney Points Baptist Church. The school consists of grades one through twelve and kindergarten of ages four and five. There is a nursery class for three year olds and child care service for our students at times before and after regular school hours . The purpose of the school is to provide the student with the best possible Christian education with high academic training, character building, and moral and spiritual development. The total development of the student is emphasized by the church, school and faculty. The objectives can more fully be achieved as Christian principles are taught in a Christian atmosphere by a Christian faculty. Our church is proud of our Christian heritage and we pledge our best for the future. Sincerely , Dr . Elmer I. Foust l I C Under the supervision and guidance of our principal, Mr. Lawley, Berney Points Baptist School has made several noticeable improvements during the 1975-1976 school year. Setting high ideals for us as students at Berney Points he has been instrumental in directing us into forming several new organizations on campus and has also been responsible for providing leadership so that many activities could be developed from which we can all benefit. It is important to Mr. Lawley that each student takes full advantage of every opportunity offered . One point that Mr. Lawley continually makes is, One cannot demand respect from others - rather - one has to earn that respect. In earning this respect of the students he tries to create an atmosphere whereby students around him will feel comfortable. He created this atmosphere by being friendly, having a pleasing personality, and by showing a sense of humor. We , as a student body, have experienced his genuine concern and interest and therefore have come to appreciate our principal. On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students, the annual staff would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Lawley for helping to make Berney Points Baptist School a place where Christian education is upheld and students are appreciated and understood. Smooth ball handling, and calmness was too much for Westminister to cope with, thus adding another win to the credit of the Berney Points Bulldogs. SGA SGA The Student Government Association is an organization designed to develop leadership skills and promote social activities for our student body. The S .G.A . is composed of four officers elected from the high school and two representatives from each homeroom in Junior High and Senior High School. Among the activities sponsored by the S. G. A. this year were the Halloween Festival and Bicentennial Day. The Halloween Festival attracted many students and parents. Everyone had fun and the proceeds from the Festival enabled the school to purchase a badly needed ditto machine . Bicentennial Day brought nostalgic feelings as we reflected upon the 1'700's. Students wore clothing relating to our nation's founding. The day was climaxed with two events. First, the Key Club presented every student with an American Flag. Secondly, the best dressed Bicentennial couple was awarded a medal for the most authentic costume. Diamond Jim Being a student at Berney Points is a very special privilege because not many young people today are blessed with a good education influenced by a Christian atmosphere . Berney Points has education with Christ as its center. Since it is a Christian school everyone is concerned about each other and that quality is hard to find in other schools today .
