The 1984 Varsity Baseball team has completed one of their most successful seasons due to the consistent pitching of returning Senior Brian McGee and Iuniors Brian Lundy and Chris Olsen, helped by the superb catching of Senior Craig Miller. Senior outfielders Matt Fagen, Paul Guardiola and Junior Jim Beato have made Berner's outfield one of the best in the league. A11 three have had a good second season on Varsity - both offensively in batting and defensively With their gloves. Senior second baseman Durlan Castro and Sophomore shortstop Ciro Ambrosio not only supplied clutch hits toward the victories but were also the strength of the Berner outfield. Senior third baseman lim McCormack and Doug Buschatske contributed with their constant hitting. Girl's Softball cops third place in League . . Returning Seniors Help a Eine Season. The Berner Girl's Softball Team had a great season this year. They wound up in Third place and captured a spot in the playoffs. The team's returning seniors are Maureen Nolan, Mary Ellen, Conners, Madeline Petrizzi and Sue Leonard. Return- ing Iuniors are Karin Wilinski, Sue Marose, Theresa Prato, Elaine Savona and Lisa Gordon. Sophomores are Elaine Yaldini and Tracy McCrann. Freshman players are Linda Murray and Karen Flynn.
