Despite Munchkin Size 1 Bisons Are Big in Wins Above: Coach Dell receiving Reilly Memorial Trophy after Berner's victory over Pequa. In a high school football preseason article, the Bisons were called Munchkins because of the size of the players. The Bison seniors finished in fourth place in their division with a winning five and three season, despite this misnomer. To the seniors on the team, the Berner-Pequa game was more impor- tant than usual because they knew that if they defeated Pequa, it would be the first time in their high school years that this was accomplished. The Bisons got their wish on October 29 when they defeated Pequa by a score of 23-15 on Berner's own field. Coach Bob Dell, along with the rest of Berner High School Wishes to congratulate All-County player John Dattero, who also was selected as an All-Conference player with teammate Joe Lizzio. The All-League players are: Ioe Lizzio, Iohn Dattero, Ioe Lunz, Vinnie Kaye, Brian Miller, and Iim Beato. Other seniors who are to be congratulated for a fine season are: Keith Schilling, Ioe Kelleher, Ioe Castelli, Brian McGee, Andy Bentz, Mario Bowers, Charlie DiSanto and lim Ioblon.
