ADMINISTRATION AND SECRETARIES When a student attends school, it is with the prime purpose of grow ing and becoming the person he or she is capable of becoming. At B-K-W. it is my hope that students will be given many opportunities to grow and become mature, responsible young adults. This can only happen when an environment is such that students feel good about what they're doing and in turn grow to feel good about themselves and others In the years ahead. I would like to see B-K-W develop an environment where students truly understand and grow to appreciate the value of a good education. Through active participation of staff and students alike. I feel such an environment will become a reality. Every attempt will be made to make each student's education one which will be a benefit in the years ahead. This will be accomplished by an overall assessment of program, new causes, varied options, and continued emphasis on seeing that students lake on more responsibilitcs. both academically and socially. The time is right to grow, and a concentrated effort on the part of everyone will make growth and change possible. When looking to the future for our school district, I see a vision of a district working together with the community we serve to accomplish certain goals. First, we arc attempting to raise our students expectations for themselves. We want our students to stretch their imaginations, to expand their horizons, to become all they are capable of becoming. Second, we want our school to continue to strive for academic excellence. B-K-W is an exciting place to be, because it is a “district on the move.” We have a vision of a new future and we intend to make that vision a reality. The Board of Education is the “policy making body of the school district. It is entrusted with the legal responsibility of running the school district. In addition to setting policy, the Board hires administrators to run the district on a daily basis and hires all other staff of the district. The Board is composed of five members elected for five year terms of office. It is an unpaid position that demands a lot of voluntary time on the part of its members. The board is dedicated to operating the district at a high level of excellence to build a strong educational future at B-K-W. THESE PAGES SPONSORED
