SECRETARIES The secretarial staff is the bloodstream of the organization. Without them, no one would be able to find the endless paperwork they file away, respond to the variety of questions they answer, and do the many things that had to be done yesterday . Thank you all for everything you do for us every day . . . Joan Bentley is the force behind the guidance department. She usually hears the problems the students have before they go in to see Mr. Gainor. Joan has been here 9 years and. in that time, has learned to hand out report cards, interim notes, good advice, a shoulder to cry on, and hugs. We love you. Mrs. B . except at the end of the marking period. A day without Marie is like a day without sunshine, and she has been bringing cheer to students and faculty for 22 years One can count the groans of the teachers as they come in and find that she isn't behind her desk. Mrs. MacManama goes by many names: “Marie , high school secretary. “My secretary . according to Mr. Singleton; “Slave-driver . to the students in in-school suspension; and Tinkler of the Ivories , to her piano students. Her expertise at all she does brings to mind the quote . . . “It is easy enough to be pleasant when life rolls along like a song, but the man worthwhile is the man who can smile when everything goes dead wrong.

Mr. Singleton, our high school principal, has been with us for three years. He is an avid skiier and extremely adept at initiating new programs at school such as TAG. Singleton Mr Brezinski, who has been our supervising principal for many years, felt the need to get back into the classroom. He was a history teacher before his rise to the top, so he assumed the responsibility of some 8th grade history classes. This goes to prove the theory that Old Social Studies teachers never die, and now they don't even fade away! Mr Kane (above) is our frugal business manager. Even though he is rarely seen by the student populace. his decisions touch our lives on a daily basis. H Brezinski R Conners Mr. Conners has been the everpresent authority figure during our formative years. To carry on where Mr. Conners left off, is Mr. Gainor, our guidance counselor. He leads us through our personal and academic crises, and is always more than willing to share his personal experiences with us. 10 M Gainor
