brought us to the btg leagues W were Freshmen To lead us through our f1rst year we elected the followrng class offrcers Presldent, Charles Sloger Vrce Presldent, Ernest Crawford Secretary, Marlene Le Bu1s Treasurer Shuley Tallman Janet Blarr and Bob Swatn were elected to represent us on the Student Counctl Charles Palombo was chosen to represent the Freshmen on the new Berne Knox Gurdance Council Mary Long and Harold Mrller represented us 1n the Red Cross For our events, we held a movle B1rd of Paradxse, 1n October ln March we held a skatrng party at Knox Cave and rn Iune we held the Freshman Round and Square Dance 1n the Gymnas1um Under the able gutdance of Mr S1ertl and Mtss Twrtchell we left the Fresh man grade behmd us 1n very frne style ln September, 1954 we found ourselves Sophomores Our class advrsors were Mr Denofro and Mr Favreau Class offtcers were elected as follows Mary Long, Ernest Crawford Dorothy Shafer and Shrrley Tallman as Presldent, Vlce Presrdent Secretary and Treasurer respectrvely Janet Blau and Marlene Le Bu1s were chosen for the Student Councrl Tom WURIIS and Beatr1ce Chrysler were appornted to the Red Cross Harold Mtller was elected assrstant secretary and Gerald Cross assxstant treasurer Our Sophomore movre was Tycoon wrth John Wayne and Lorralne Day The Sophomores ordered B K balloons and p1ns to sell and another proflt was realtzed For the One Act Play Contest we chose Deep ln the Heart of Texas Mr O Leary dlrected the play and the Sophomores won the contest' We presented another mov1e on March 10 Santa Fe Tra1l and agarn we were successful Our dance was held on Apr1l 29 and was called Spr1ng Festtval The Hudson R1ver Valley Boys prov1ded the musrc To complete our year we held our ptcmc at Warner s Lake We would return tn September as ,Tumors In September 1955, we found ourselves rn the Iumor Homerooms We elected Gerald Cross Presr dent Mary Long V1ce Presrdent Dot Shafer Secretary and Shtrley Tallman Treasurer Janet Bla1r and Harold Mrller were elected to the Student Counc1l George Croster was named for the Red Cross We entered the Magazlne Contest and made a profrt although we lost out to the present Sophomores Back to God s Country was the tttle of our Iumor movle and tt was very successful The Junxor class pard half glortous trme select1ng our class rlngs and when they came Just before Chnstmas everyone was over Joyed Our selectron for the Jumor One Act Play Contest was Frreman Save My Ch1ld' The Sophomores took all the honors except the huge profrt whrch we deposlted The theme of our Junror Prom was Serenade In Blue They gym was beauufully decorated w1th soft shades of blue accented by a gold bandstand backdrop The backdrop rtself represented a cool summer porch topped off by blue lrghts Tables around the gym created an effect of an outdoor cafe It was a wonderful evemng' We were one of the few Junror classes to realrze a profrt on th1s event' We elected yearbook offrcers and started a dr1ve to collect our adver tlsements for th1s year s book We closed the year by havrng a prcnrc wtth our class advtsors, Mrs Osterhout and Mr Mustrco at Warner s Lake The next t1me that we would meet would be as Senrors We had made rt at last we were Senrors' Thts was to be our last year together Mr Schloss Mrss Sherwtn and Mlss Lehn served as our adv1sors Gerald Cross was re elected Presrdent Charles Palombo was chosen V1ce Presrdent and Dot Shafer and Shrrley Tallman were returned to offrce as Secretary and Treasurer respectrvely Phyllrs Bassler and Marlene Le Bu1s would serve as Sen1or representatrves to the Student Councrl Edward Cooper and Beatr1ce Chrysler were elected to the new Guldance Councrl The yearbook staff consrsted of Harold Hammersharmb Dot Shafer, Charles Sloger, Charles Rrsley Charles Palombo Ernest Crawford Mary bong, Shlrl Tallman Gerald Cross and Harold Mxller Mrss Lehn was the superv1sor The Sen1or Play was held on November 1 The trtle was Drums of Death a mystery comedy rn three acts Mr Schloss drrected and the play was a huge success The Rhythm Rangers pro vrded muslc for the Soc Hop The gym was decorated w1th crepe paper and bales of hay Everyone had a good ume and agatn the class efforts netted us a proftt We were very proud as Sentors that the Bulldogs had fmrshed the f1.rst unbeaten season tn B K h1story Members of the Varsrty Squad from the Senxor Class rncluded Gerald Cross Ronald Marun, Ernest Crawford and Bob Swam For the Jumor One Act Play Contest the Senlors presented Father Says No' 1 ', a hrlartous comedy Mtss Sherwm our new advlsor who replaced Mr Schloss drrected Graduatlon day ts near and we wtll separate to take our places rn the world Who knows one of us may one day become Prestdent of the U S If th1s IS so we can be thankful
