PROPH ECY Berne Knox Central Schools Statrc June 1963 CLASS of 1953 HOLDS REUNION Last Saturday the Class of 1953 held therr frrst reumon at Thacher Park Offrcers were elected and a brref meetrng was held Every member of the class was there or at least accounted for The offrcers for the year were elected as follows Pres Brookre Brssell Vrce pres Glen Wrllsre Secretary Ianrce Le Burs Treasurer Peg Carl Notrce that the class agarn choose the same offrcers as they had rn therr Senror year Could be because of the frne Job they drd? After supper each member had to tell what had happened to hrm srnce Graduatron rn June of 1953 The frrst to speak was Maver Becker and although he rs presrdent of the Farm Bureau and very busy now days he told about hrmself and hrs twrn srster Mavrs who wasn t there It seems Mavrs went to Germany to see Wrllard and lrked rt so well she stayed Maver also mentroned that Mavis lives only a short drstauce from Ottr Hanses Ottr frnrshed hrgh school after returnrng to Germany and then opened a school of Amerrcan Expressrons She now has all the people over there sayrng Grnger peachy and Oh George! After Maver s report Janrce Le Burs spoke Janrce rs now a physrcal educatron teacher rn a brg school up North but took trme out to attend the reunron Ian also gave a report on Alrda Klersy who has become a famous prano player and rs now playing at a concert rn Parrs France Peg Carl and Thelma Jansen are strll the same unseparable couple they were in hrgh school They re famous travelers now as they both are salesman for the Brrghter Shrne Boot Polrsh Company and they travel outWest to sell therr polrsh to the cowboys However they left therr cowboys long enough to vrsrt wrth therr old frrends Next a very wealthy lookrng man stood to speak Everyone recognrzed hrm as Chuck Wrllrams Chuck made out okay for hrmself after school It seems he rs a model for The Super Dooper Curl Co and ad vertrses a new home permanent to give you that Natural Curl look Srttrng next to Chuck and ready to tell us about hrmself was Art Shultes Everyone knew he and Peg Swrnt took the fatal step shortly after graduatron as most everyone attended the weddrng It seems they are dorng Irne he as charrman of GOP and she as the Democratrc Charrman However he drdnt say whether thrngs are peaceful rn the household Katre Gossman spoke after Art She was wearrng one of her famous orrgrnals Katre told all of the ladres present to VlS1I her at her dress shop rn New York Crty and she d make one of her orrgrnal dresses for them Her fashrons are bemg revrewed rn the fashron centers all over the world The sound of laughter came from a group of people and then everyone knew why Someone was tellrng a funny rncrdent and Maggre Nrcholson who hasn t changed a brt was grgglrng Maggre s job rs a nurse rn the Veteran s Hosprtal rn Albany The rumor has rt that the patrents are gettrng well faster wrth Maggre there to keep them laughrng Hazel Mrller was the next one to hear from Her love lfor Schoharre was so great she couldn t stay away from there so she now rs grvrng drrvrng lessons to the krds out t ere Someone mentroned Konrad Trsher s name and later leamed that he was rn Washrngton D C wartrng to see the presrdent thus tryrng to settle an argument wrth a frrend One of the grrls who became popular was Mary Warner It seems she made trrps to all sorts of places to frnd some brg game The latest thrng to add to her col lectron rs some elephant tusks She also edrts The Hunter s Weekly Glen Wrllsre is around rn case any of the anrmals rn town get srck Glen rs the town s one and only veterrnarran and rs doing qurte well at rt Bob Taber was recognrzed when he spoke as he plays hrs harmonrca on Dave Denny s program Pat Morey stood up next but everyone knew how famous she became She now srngs over statron 4U and has made hundreds of recordrngs A brg man stood up next After some thrnkrng and guessrng he was recognrzed as Pete Bassler Pete became very wealthy after posrng for a new cereal called Man s Delrght whrch rs supposed to make a man out of a mouse Al Percy and Howard Zrmmer drd okay for themselves They demonstrated therr new gadget that rs equrpped wrth radar so that when they spot a rrch vrctrm rt automatically brmgs the vrctrm s pocketbook to them By the way rt works too!
