John Boucher, champion roller-skafer of fhe world, is sfarfing a new roller-rink in Alfamonf. Emily Haluska, fhe famous fashion designer for Vogue. has designed a verfically sfriped dress for fall girls. John Dooley is now a professor af Yale. All 'rhe sfars come fhere for his specialfy- purple ice cream. We hear Elsie Warner is now assisfanf fo Digger O'Dell. We can'f imagine her nof laughing long enough fo conducf a funeral. We began our firsT year in high school wiTh Miss Clara Slcavina as our adviser. We chose Tor our class oTTicers: Edmund McManama, president John MacMillen, vice president Joyce NorThrup, secre- Tary, and Eleanor Bassler, Treasurer. Our TirsT acTiv- iTy was a ChrisTmas dance held in December. We also sponsored a movie, Jesse James, in March and a slcaTing parTy aT Knox Cave in May. We chose blue and whiTe Tor our class colors. We began our Sophomore year by elecTing Charles Willsey, president Edmund McManama, vice president Phyllis Willsie, secreTary, and Bar- bara Traver, Treasurer. Our guides This year were Mrs. Mary MoTT and Mr. Raymond Morrow. ln March we sponsored a ST. PaTriclc's Day dance. The Helderberg MounTaineers provided The music. Also in March we presenTed Mixed DaTes as our con- TribuTion To The One-AcT Play ConTesT. lT was well lilced by The audience. We also sponsored The Sophomore Balce Sale and a movie enTiTled My Dog Shep. We Then began The Third lap oT our Travels. As Jolly Juniors we chose Edmund McManama. Charles Coogan, Phyllis Willsie and Joyce NorTh- rup as president vice president secreTary and Treasurer. Mr. Morris Ripps was our class adviser. Our TirsT acTiviTy This year was The Junior Jamboree presenTed in January. The gym was decoraTed in wesTern sTyle wiTh saddles, cowboy haTs and spurs. ln March we presenTed The One-AcT ConTesT. Llgg Much To our joy our play, QuieT Home Wedding. won The conTesT. In May we had our Junior Prom. KeiTh WiTTer furnished The music. Somewhere Over The Rainbow was our Theme song and The gym was decoraTed wiTh rainbows and poTs of gold. This ended a momenTous year which we will long remember. AT las+ we sTarTed The long-awaiTed lasT parT of our journey. Miss Marea BaTTershall and Mr. Gor- don Mason were our able advisers. We chose Tor our sTudenT leaders: Charles Willsey, president Alvin LaTham, vice president Phyllis Willsie, secre- Tary, and Edna Saddlemire, Treasurer. We began our round of acTiviTies wiTh our Bubble Dance held in OcTober. The Pollca Five Turnished The music. Our Theme song was I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles. The gym was decaraTed wiTh balloons hanging from The ceiling and sparkling bubbles on The curTains. In November we presenTed Dam- sels in DisTress, a hilarious comedy Tor our Senior Play. IT was eniayed by audiences aT boTh Berne and WesTerlo. Our conTribuTion To The One-AcT Play ConTesT was Magnolia Blooms. Thus ended our high school years-years which will long be remembered by all of us. 13
