CLASS OFFICERS President: LEWIS SPRUNGER Vice President: DWIGHT HABEGGER Secretary: RUTH ANN McALHANEY Treasurer: TANYA BOWMAN Class History Arriving in high school in the fall of 1958, we elected to lead us Gary Habegger, President; Malcolm Stauffer, Vice President; Pat Matchett, Secretary; and Tanya Bowman, Treasurer. Fun -filled oc- casions during our Freshman year were a skating party and a gym social. Our officers for the Sophomore year were Gary Habegger, President; Malcolm Stauffer, Vice President; Tanya Bowman, Secretary; and Lewis Sprunger, Treasurer. Choosing our class rings was the highlight of the year. At last we became juniors and could be called upperclassmen. For our class officers we chose Lewis Sprunger, President; Malcolm Stauffer, Vice President; Ruth Ann McAlhaney, Secretary; and Tanya Bowman, Treasurer. In the spring, we respectfully invited the seniors to the Junior-Senior Reception held in the school cafeteria. Decorations complementing the theme, Sayonara, included some unusual lighting effects which made lasting impressions on those in attendance. During the last of our four years we were busy taking senior portraits, choosing class colors of aqua and gold, and the chrysanthemum as our flower. For our motto we selected, Learn from the mistakes of others ; for you won ' t live long enough to make them all yourself. Moving toward our destination, we enjoyed the Pops Concert, Junior-Senior Reception, and the Alumni Banquet. May 25th arrived and with it our long sought after diplomas which was an encouragement to seek greater heights. DENNIE BAUMGARTNER A football coach ' s dream. LOIS BAUMGARTNER Cheerleader, lively, and full of fun, talk she will to everyone. 14
