PHILL KINGSLEY President BONNIE AUGSBURGER Secretary CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1956 we, the class of 1960, started out upon the mysterious road that would lead lead us through four years of high school to become successful citizens in future years. To guide us our first year we chose John Habegger, President; Roger Graber, Vice-President; Michale Habegger, Secretary; and Jim Blum, Treasurer. Fun-filled occasions were a skating party in the fall and a gym party in the spring. We were happy to welcome the students from Jefferson and Blue Creek as new members to our class. As we advanced farther down our road through high school, we were led by Jim Srpe, Presi- dent; John Habegger, Vice-President; Jim Blum, Secretary; and Jocelyn Schwartz, Treasurer. We enjoyed another skating party this year. The highlight of the year was choosing our class rings in May of 1958. Upon arriving at the midway point of our excursion, we chose Phillip Kingsley, President; Jo- celyn Schwartz, Vice-President; Bonnie Augsburger, Secretary,- and Susan Liechty, Treasurer. We again enjoyed another skating party in the fall. On March 20, 1959, we presented our junior play entitled Tattletale. We cordially entertained the seniors at the Junior and Senior Re- ception in the beautifully decorated new cafeteria. The theme we chose was Celestial Rendez- vous. Just before we embarked on the last lap of our four year journey, we tarried long enough to have our senior portraits taken. We entered this last year with mixed emitions, and we confident- ly chose as our new class officers Phillip Kingsley as President; Jerry Mason as Vice-President; Bonnie Augsburger as Secretary, and David Dyck as Treasurer. We proudly presented A Little Honey on October 16, 1959, as our last dramatic presentation. We dedicated the publication of Our Yesterdays to Coach Anderson. Our Class colors were pink and ivory, the pink carna- tion was our flower, and our class motto was Choose Wisely: For Happiness Lies Largely in Our Own Choice. With the destination which we have traveled toward so steadily for four years in sight, we en- joyed ourselves with short visits at the PopsConcert, our class trip to Chicago, Senior Day, Junior-Senior Reception, on May 27, 1960, and received our diplomas. From this point each class member parts to setout upon his or her own particular pathway with great hopes and aspirations for future years. 14
