enior (L(ci$S Brussels, Belgium June 17, 1966 Dear Nancy, It’s been a long time since I last wrote to you. I’ve been traveling quite a bit since I have become affiliated with the European Y. F. C. We were talking about our classmates in my last letter to you and since that time I’ve seen quite a few of them. I saw CHARLES in Switzerland visiting his relatives. I’ve heard that he met a Swiss miss and they are now raising—flowers??! When I was in Paris last week I saw RODERICK at the Louvre. He was attending the unveiling of his latest painting, “Madam in the Pool.” I saw a RIESEN mobile while I was there and it was very nice. TOM and his blonde are on easy street since they say this car costs over $5,000. Speaking of cars, I had BILL STUCKY send me a Chevrolet last month. He is doing quite well in his business. He has five daughters now—Charlene, Arlene, Darlene, Marlene, and Minnv-Imogene. At the Brussels airport I saw ROMAYNE and RUTH ANN on their way to the mission field as nurses. They said that JOE graduated from Bob Jones and he and his wife are going to South America as missionaries. Say, how are MARY JANE and her two sets of twins coming along? With that start they won’t have to hire any help for their 600-acre farm! By the way, are you still working as a dental hygienist in DR. HEDGES' office? I looked up our friend MARLENE in Paris. She is known as Mademoiselle Marlene now and is a registered Masseuse. She told me she had a letter from ARLENE and the Beckers are getting along quite prosperously with their silver fox farm. The other day at the airport I happened to see a copy of a Norway newspaper and I saw that GEORGE BALSIGER from the states is entering the Olympics for high jumping. He always was a high-stepper, or was that an acquaintance of his? JACK NUSSBAUM had his Wheaton College choir touring Belgium and France and he stopped at our church and gave a concert in the evening. LENA and DeWayne came with Jack and they were on their way to Germany to sing in the Berlin Concert Hall. I’ll have to close now. To our dear deserving teachers, we give our advice to be lenient on the students this next year as they are in dire need of a rest from the great enduring hardships from this past year. I, Anita Kennel, bequeath my contagious giggle to Willa Joy Steiner. I. Joe Lehman, will my vast farming knowledge and ability to go steady with a junior girl to Paul Sprunger. I, Nancy Lehman, will my love for soft, dreamy, romantic music to Marilyn Habegger who has already earned this bequest. I, Roderick Liechty, will my love for baseball to anyone who ever missed a curve. I. Romayne Litwiller, leave part of my shyness to Gloria Timmons in hopes that she will be able to use it????!! I, Millard Moser, will my chartreuse car?? minus the steering wheel, brakes, clutch, gears, and fenders, to “Big Shot” who doesn’t use these parts anyway. I, Charles Nagel, will my ability to sleep in Mr. Hedges’ civics class to anyone who is lucky enough to do so. I. Jack Nussbaum. bestow my luck in being allergic to girls to Keith Reinhard. I. Lena Nussbaum, will my singing ability to Ruth Helen Gilliom. I, John Parr, will my assets to Norma Jean and my liabilities to no one. I, Tom Riesen. leave all my private affairs to Gloria Lehman who always gets them out of me anyway. I, Janean Sprunger, will my flirtatious smile to anyone who thinks that they might be able to use it. I, Kenyon Sprunger, will my friendliness and abilitv to get along with anyone to Danny Liechty. I, Bill Sipe, will my experimental mind —in physics, that is, to Evan Lehman. I, Virgil Strahm, leave my overabundance of vitality and wit to Jerry Sprunger. I. Long Island City July 22, 1966 Dear Mary Mae, It certainly was nice to hear from you once again. I hadn’t known that so many of our classmates were abroad. One sort of loses track of them after so long a time. You might see JOHN and Norma in Paris. They are on vacation now and I believe John is trying to interest a big executive there to start a branch of Dunbar Furniture. ROGER is owner of the “Tidey Didey” Laundry in Fort Wayne. Isn’t that just like Roger? SHIRLEY is still working for Lehman. Lehman, Lehman, and Lehman, Inc. You know she always was a neat typist. Remember how she used to be able to type without errors any time she wished in Mr. Renner’s class and how peeved we used to get because it always gave the rest of the class lower grades? On Easter Sunday REV. EDWARD AMSTUTZ of the Park Avenue Presbyterian Church was the guest speaker at our church. He certainly has a big congregation there. The doctor and I were certainly surprised the other day when PROFESSOR RICHARD ALLSPAW came walking into the office. He is now head professor of anthropology at New York University. He told us that BILL SIPE has invented a sure cure for talking women. The name of it is Sipacilieidi Solicitate and is guaranteed to either kill or cure. Probably kill, if we know Bill! The Professor also said that BOB. MILLARD, and KENYON are owners of the “Gute Knaben” Body Trucking Company down in Berne. They make everything from cars, trucks, to kiddie cars. ARDUS JEAN is the head therapist at one of San Francisco’s newest hospitals. She has discovered a new treatment that is called the Sister Ardus Gallbladerium used for massaging aching gall bladders. KENNY ISCH is a Certified Public Accountant now working down in Washington, D. C. He checks the books of our government and seems to like his job very well. You know he always did like bookkeeping! VIRGIL has formed a new club by the name of the Push-Pull Club near the area of Berne. It is restricted to professional accordionists alone. GODFREY has a farm which the research chemists use for experimental hybrid corn planting. I hear he makes quite a profit on this. CAROLYN and ANITA have been taken in as members of the Mother’s Club. They won the contest for the most number of offspring. Have you heard about JANEAN? She has now married a wealthy doctor whom she met during her nursing career. I hear they fell in love over an appendectomy. I’ll stop now as I’ve got an appointment in about five minutes.
