The much harassed freshmen of yesteryear have gained the title of sophomores through their own earnest achievement. When freshmen, the class elected Richard Lehman as president. Hazel Nyffeler as vice president, Willa Mae Moser as secretary, and Robert Liechty as treasurer. They participated in a party given for the high school in the high school gym. This took the place of a class party. The second year the officers were Wayne Stuckey, president; Opal Sprunger, vice president; Thomas Sprunger. secretary; and Stanley Girod, treasurer. We know that next year will find them able to shoulder mere and more of the school's outside activities, for next year they will be juniors. CLASS OFFICERS Opal Spi unger, Thomas Sprunger, Stanley Girod. and Wayne Stuckey. SOPHISTICATED SOPHOMORES ARE ADVANCING RAPIDLY Seventeen

JUNIORS NEVER LACK PEP AND ORIGINALITY CLASS OFFICERS Betty Moser, Charlotte Moser, Cliff Habegger, and Vaughn Schindler. At the beginning of the school year this class having fifty-two members elected Clifton Habegger as president, Vaughn Schindler as vice president, Betty Moser as secretary, and Charlotte Moser as treasurer. This class has been active throughout the school year. October 31 the Juniors presented the play “Foot Loose” which was thoroughly enjoyed and praised by a large crowd. At the beginning of December the juniors began sporting their shiny new rings. At last they had proof of their upperclassman age! The juniors were hosts to the seniors at a very lovely reception in the high school gym, May 8. The good work of this class put their reception down as one of the finest in the history of B. H. S. This concludes their activities as juniors. Now they are looking forward to the climax of high school—the Senior year—with bated breath, bright eyes, and high resolve. First Row: Harry Luginbill. FRESHMEN FINALLY COME INTO THEIR OWN CLASS OFFICERS Geraldine Gerig, G 1 e n n a Sprunger, Merlin Inniger, and Elbert Stuckey. Oh, my goodness! It seems that they get smaller every year. The freshies, of course! The little, blushing clockwatchers wander around aim- ess y through B. H. S. for a year before they are relieved of their green robes. Whether it’s the modern age or not, we’ll never know, but some fiery spark has touched this class of '45 to make them more ambitious than the usual first year class. They are led by Merlin Inniger as president, Geraldine Gerig as vice president, Elbert Stuckey as secretary, and Glenna Sprunger as treasurer. We feel confident, though, that there are those in this membership who will one day be among the leaders of the school. “Time ripens all things. No man is born wise.” Third Row: Betty Stauffer. Merlin Inniger. Imogene Schindler. Goldie Moyer. First Row: Ida Zuercher. Edison Reynolds. Phyllis Gottschalk. Jean Kirchhofer. Frederick Lehman. De- vonna Habegger. Roy Gilliom, Mathilda Licchtv.
