Let The Blame Fall On Us Putting out this annual was not simply a matter of slipping a few snapshots between two covers. Everything had to be carefully planned, from the first word to the last picture. Pictures had to be taken and arranged. Accurate information had to be gathered and written up. Every page had to be completely accounted for. This year’s annual staff has tried to give you an informal, realistic view of school life. Informality is an outstanding characteristic of young people. Activities Though “school” is generally taken to represent studies and books, one must not feel that these are the only things from which we learn. There are many activities in the Berne Schools. Different organizations help the pupils to meet new situations and form new friendships. Our activities are carried out with the purpose of teaching each of us how to get along with others, and to enjoy the company of our classmates. What would school be like without these friendships? 9

Literary Society Award This year the Alphas won the Alumni Loving Cup, the average being: Alphas 92.5978; Arenas 91.9767; Difference .6211. The Alphas all worked very hard and well deserved this cup.
