Yesterday... In this, the rwenty-fifrh edirion of the Bermudian Springs Eogle Yearbook, we pause to reflecr upon days passed by. Our yearbooks ore the only reminder of the classes which hove passed through these hollwoys; the echoes hove foded, ond the faces hove changed. Time hos been suspended in the pictures of these memoirs. Our lives hove been halted, captured on the glossy pages, revealing the growth, maturity, ond excitement involved in high school. These memories forever kept in our hearts ore permanently recorded in our yearbooks. Every class hos shored their lives ond grown into one family, during their mony hours together. This school in which we hove been taught the Civil War. mathematical concepts, vocabulary, ond health hos served us in another, much more valuable woy. It is the twenty-five- year-old 'tree trunk upon which we hove oil expanded. This tree hos sprung from o seed which hos encompassed us oil. The bran- ches extend from this trunk ond unite our souls, inspiring our pride ond spirit. The smaller limbs consist of the activities which interest us oil; whether it be musically, athletically, club -or closs-orienred. We, the students, ore the leaves. Just os the seasons change the tree, our school society hos altered us. First, os budding freshmen, we gosp or the new opportunities ond long for seniority. As the years progress, we continue to leorn, reaching for our aspirations, needing the sunlight of praise to fully bloom. Days poss by. Weeks go unnoticed. Seniority is soon realized. We ore moture beings, ready to leove this tree, these walls, which hove nurtured ond protected us for so long. We, the leaves, foil from the tree ond complete the cycle. We deport from our families ond create new relationships. An entire lifestyle — it seems o whole lifetime — hos ended. Just os the tree began os o seed, we began high school os in- dividuals with great expectations. We group together in the quest of fulfillment throughout the four years. As graduation beckons, the in- dividuality reappears. We are once again seeds prepored to blossom, rec h. ond grow in yet another brave new world. This collage represents the many facets of our distinguished tree. The following pages ore o personal recollection of the days we have shared os a family — o final account of o lifetime well spent. ... where time stands still. 2 Theme
