Time is remembered Reflections of Time Remember the time we first learned to walk And soon afterwards we learned how to talk; Not a thing was safe from our fingers then; Before they knew it, we were counting to ten. Remember the day we first started to school? Our parents kissed us good-bye and made us feel like fools; They saw we had nametags, and made us promise to be good, And while crossing our fingers, we told them we would. The next six years flew by us so fast; Before anyone realized, they were over and past; Gone were the recesses and blackboards to erase; We were moving up to a more important place. When we got to high school, we were in for a shock; The bathrooms didn’t have doors, and the lockers didn’t lock; The notes never ended, and neither did the tests; But we kept trying to do our very best. Somehow we made it through these years, Forming life-long friendships with teachers and peers; Of the time we spent together and the time we spent apart, We will hold many memories forever in our hearts.
