KEY OF LIFE “Songs in the Key of Life” We of the 1977-78 yearbook staff, have chosen “Songs in the Key of Life” as the theme for the yearbook this season. Ever since the first page of recorded history, music has served as an explanation for man’s well being. Music, arranged in song, has relieved many a frustrated soul from the tensions and the chaos of the outside world. It has also allowed the imagination to expand into the crevasses of the mind which have not yet been revealed due to the busy-buddy, boring, day to day routines of many citizens. The average American can say that he belongs to the middle class, that he owns two cars, and that he has 2.3 children but can he honestly say that he has the time and the imagination to fantasize and relax upon the tones of each note of a piece of music? To sit down, stretch out, and enjoy the message a song creates for us, can be an important concept in learning how to understand each other as individuals. For these reasons, the Eagle Staff has placed throughout the yearbook, titles of numerous songs. Ranging from the “oldies but goodies” up to the popular style of music that is performed today, the staff has at- tempted to show you how music is weaved through modern day activities. We hope you enjoy the yearbook that we present to you. The Eagle Staff has worked long and hard to satisfy you and we hope you find the compiled memories as re- warding as we do. Enjoy it, it’s yours. 3
