First runner up - Anita Lerew Pam crowning 1969 Homecoming Queen Gail Wisler Second runner up - Bonnie Tate Saturday, October 4, 1969 was one of the most beauti- ful days ever for the annual Homecoming game and events at Bermudian Springs High School. As the half time of the game arrived the Eagles held the Mustangs 22-O. The suspense slowly drew to a climax. Seven girls had been nominated for Homecoming Queen by the Senior Class. They were: Pat Cashman, Marlyn Diener, Delores Herman, Anita Lerew, Toni Tang- er, Bonnie Tate and Gail Wisler. As the floats and the line of cars carrying the girls proceeded around the field the tension and excitement grew stronger. Then as the floats and the cars carrying the girls pulled up in front of the stands the speaker from the press box announced the results of the floats: Honorable Mention to the Freshman's, 3rd place to the Sophmores, 2nd place to the Juniors and 1st place to the Seniors, for the third time in the last three years with the theme Eat the Mus- tangsff But now the big moment had arrived. The announcer then welcomed back Miss Pam Eisenhart, 1968 Home- coming Queen by crowning the queen and her court which was: 2nd runner-up Miss Bonnie Tate, 1st run- ner-up Miss Anita Lerew and the 1969 Homecoming queen Miss Gail Wisler. Now with most of the half-time tension gone the at- tention was turned back to the game which became the 4th win for the Eagles by defeating the Mustangs 35-7. As the wonderful day, with a Homecoming dance in the gym, ended you could see how TIME took up a large space in preparing the floats, dance, and the game for another great day added to the good times at Bermudian. 10
