FOREWORD Block upon block, brick upon brick--just as we construct a build- ing on a foundation of concrete, so lives are built on the firm found- ation of education. From piles of materials of seemingly little value, the skillful builder erects a thing of beauty and worth--A contribution to mankind. Each member of our society has a sim- ilar responsibility--the responsibility of molding the lives of those who follow us. Our community has met the challenge of a new high school and has fulfilled its responsibility. May we in later life have the fortitude to face and overcome ob- stacles such as those our community had to overcome to give us the educational opportunities which we enjoy. May we unite to build for ourselves and for our posterity a better community, a better nation, and a better world.
