XYhen approaching the ticket window. stoop as low as possible. for then vou may claim that you are under twelve and. thereby, enter on a child's ticket. The few cents gained may be utilized very economically by playing pool. or in some other highly cultured amusement. lf the ticket lady doubts your word, loudly protest and show your argumentative powers. This is really wonderful training for public speaking. ,X clinching argument would be that you are very young for your age. lJon't forget your bag of peaunts and a package of gum with which you may accompany the music. Those about you will adore tha . linter the balcony. and choose a seat in the middle of some crowded row. lie sure to step all over the people's feet while gaining access to your seat. They heartily enjoy that. Eventually you will arrive there after a few uncalled for remarks by inconsiderate theatre goers who would attempt to hamper your amuse- ment merely because you wish to step on their feet. Now, quickly slam the seat down. for you might be lucky enough to catch somebody's feet. and the howl that will arise will be very gratifying. If the film has not yet started. an ex- cellent pastime would be to test your marksmanship by hurling peanut shells at bald-headed gentlemen in the audience. They heartily enjoy that. and will even look up and give you a friendly smile Cl ! lj. XVhen the film starts. read the titles aloud. as the people about you will be very much interested in your reading powers. Never fail to warn the unknowing hero of his dangers, or to shout remarks at the film such as Terrible, She's got a face like a baby hippo in distress! and other such complimentary remarks. Make it a point to get a drink of water two or three times during the evening, for, by doing so, you are giving those in your row remarkable exercise because they must rise and be trampled upon whenever you exit. The effect of chewing a huge wad of gum is very musical and tends to keep those about you in good humor. Continue to chew while the fiavor lasts. then merely take the gum from your mouth, lean forward, and gracefully plant it in the hair of some lady in front of you. This will cause no end of enjoyment to both of you. lf, by this time. for some unexpected and unforseen reason, the manager kindlv t' ?j asks vou to vacate, proudly rise and tell him that the hlm was awful. and that you were just about to leave anyhow. This will cause the manager to repent, and he will beg you to remain, but hold your stand, unconcernedly turn on your heel, and walk out amid the whimperings of the owner.
