American field Service Student This ramifies the importance of such exchange of ideas and culture among the world's youth. It is a direct challenge to each of us, for within youth is vested the hope of the world to mold a more meaningful existence. A.F.S. is indeed a give and take, a bittersweet. As a small part of this mighty organization, I have endeavored to reflect to you the warmth of New Zealand. And in return I will take home many new ideas. This has been the most important year of my life, for within it I have found the key to many vital principles; family, home, love, time, citizenship . . . All of this could not have been possible if it were not for the genuine kindness of many Wis- consinites, who opened their hearts and homes to a stranger who wanted to be a small part of their loves. For me, A.F.S. is only beginning. I hope to encourage many more to see life through the eyes of others. Take care of yourselves and others. I will soon be back in the Kiwi country.
