CLAY LAMBERTON DEDICATION MR. MRS. CLAY LAMBERTON Because of the assassination of President Kennedy, visitors arriving at the new Clay Lamberton School Sunday, November 24, were greeted by a flag which was flown at half staff. When everyone had assembled in the gymnasium, Mr. Erwin Ehrlich, director of the school board, took the floor as master of ceremonies. The main speaker was William C. Kahl, first assistant state superintendent, who spoke on “Educational Progress Demands Change”. Mr. Clay Lamberton, for whom the school was named, also addressed the group. Mr. Lamberton was formerly a principal and su- perintendent in the Berlin area for over thirty years. The Berlin High School chorus provided musical entertainment for the program with a choral dedication. Miss Donna Decker, vocal director in the Berlin system, presented the solo, Mozart’s “Alleluia”. Reverend Nehrbass delivered the benediction. Then the guests were dismissed to tour the school and were served refreshments in the cafeteria.

EDITORS To the students and faculty: We think that this year has been especially good for Berlin High in all phases of school life. In view of this, we have tried to make the yearbook as representative of B.H.S. as possible. In sports our boys managed to come out on top, or very close to it, in almost everything. Our trophy case is proof of this. In both forensics and music, Berlin was well represented, sending several members to State in each case. We hope that next year, B.H.S. will be represented abroad, just as we had a most charming foreign exchange student, Heather Mackie from the Republic of South Africa. Also this year, we were very proud to have one of our outstanding faculty members, Mr. George Doll, selected as the Green Lake County Teacher of the Year. For all these reasons, we chose the theme of “school spirit” for the 1964 yearbook. There have been changes, in the arrangement of pictures, and additions in the number of pages. However, in all that is different and all that is the same, we have tried to carry out the theme. — The Editors
