At the annual school meeting in ,luly 1958 the present hoard of nine members was Created. This replaced a hoard of l8 members that was representative of the old city-integrated system. Under the city-integrated system the following schools were previously added: Rosebud. Warren Center. Edgemore. Joint District No. l Qlliverside. Lilac Hilli, Koro, Big Island tljond Lily, Fox liiverl. French. Fargoville, Spoor and Woodlawn. The following districts have heen added this year: East lsland. Shead Street. Hoeft, Record, Auroraville, Meadow llrook and parts of the Towns of Warren and Leon. Our school now serves an urea ol' approximately 200 square miles.

Editors EDITORIAL One of the most important facets of a good education is a capable teacher. Berlin High has gained recognition in the past years for its outstanding Science and Mathematics teachers. Mr. Crow this year received a citation as the outstanding Wisconsin Science teacher. For the past three years he has been attending a Summer School in New Mexico under a scholarship from the National Science Foundation. In the past he has studied Chemistry and Biology and this year plans to study Physics. Mr. Doll is studying Biology at the University of Wisconsin under a one year scholarship from the National Science Foundation. He is planning to return to Berlin High this Fall. Mr. Clunn will be in Kansas this Summer studying Mathematics ami also plans to spend the approaching term at the University of Wisconsin. thanks again to the National Science Foundation. Mr. Wolff will be attending the Case Institute in Cleveland. Ohio this Summer to study Mathematics. Miss Madeline Carey deserves special recognition for her service at Washing- ton School for many years. She is now on a leave of absence and we hope she will retum soon. The students of lierlin High also owe their thanks to our staff of cooks who do such a fine job of preparing our noon lunch. Mrs. Kolb, who has been with the school for many years, heads the staff. Thanks Mrs. Kolbl Thanks also to Dan Werch who retired this year after serving our school for many years as janitor. Recognition goes to our students as well as our staff and faculty. Judy Guenther was a candidate for Little Ten Wrestling Queen, Mary Schilder was a candidate to the Ripon invitational Track meet, and Judy Sutherland was a Little Ten Track Queen candidate this year. Miss Sutherland. in addition. received a Winnebago Homemakers Scholarship. Nelma lirey also received the Waushara County Home- makers Award. Une thing this Spring that has never been done at lierlin Hiffh School was the D trip some of the students took to Washington. D.C.. New York and Niagara Falls. This year we have added something new to the Mascoutin. a calendzjr. Many memorable events that have occurred this year can be remembered by looking at it. Diana Walker and Mary Datta. Co-Editors
