Surely the high school can never train students to he first rate technicians. so the function of the high school is to lay a solid groundwork for our young people to build on. What it can do and should he doing is finding out the potential of every student. Then try to put each student in an environment that will develop his or her abilities to the utmost. One cannot build unless the fundamentals of math and reading are mastered. This solid information has to he placed in its proper prespective hy a solid background in our social studies classes. The program of our comprehensive high school is a never ending challenge that needs to he re-evaluated yearly, in order to make possihle the hest education for our youth. C. F.
