The SENIOR section Even Gumby shows spirit. GO! GO! GO! Pie eating contest? Spirit Week 1987 From Monday, September 14th to Friday, Sep- tember 18th, freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors alike showed great enthusiasm during Spirit Week. Each class dressed accordingly on Color Day, Cartoon Day, Theme Day, and Sports Day. The Pep Rally, one of the final activities of the week, began with the introduction of the fall sports teams. Following the introductions, the band, drill team, color guard and cheerleaders performed. For the first time in BHS history, the freshman class received the trophy for hallway decorations. After a hard fought battle against the sophomores in the tug-of-war, the seniors emerged the victors. The class of ’88 was also victorious in the pie- eating contest and spirit competitions. A huge turnout of students at the Spirit Dance, Friday night, and the varsity football team’s 12-0 blowout over Foram, Saturday afternoon, were the climax of a wild and memory-filled week.
