NA NCY POITRAS American Studies Industrial Arts The Industrial Arts Department received a major boost when it moved into the new addition, complete with modern machin- ery and equipment which made possible several new areas of study. Curriculum expanded from basic courses such as Wood, Metal, Printing and Draft- ing to more advanced courses, including Plastics, Photography and Power courses. In the Power course, students learn the impor- tance of a clean shop and often are late to the next class due to their cleanliness. While learning the art of film developing, Pho- tography students also learn of the corrosive power of develop- ing liquids. A record number of students are now enrolled in Industrial Arts electives.
